Hahaha. I actually wanted to set the camera at ground level to get a mass of feet in motion but didn’t want anyone to think that I was some kind of pervert filming up people’s clothes! As it was, I was half expecting someone to stop and ask me if I was some kind of foot fetishist, haha. I was actually at a coffee bar sitting fairly high up, and took the photos without flash, so most people didn’t notice.
great pictures, so interesting to have just the feet, and feet do reveal a lot about the person, don’t you think?
My favorite one is also moooovement, the patterns in it are great!
Yes, I think so, Benedicte 🙂 The last photo, with the chap in his boaters moving against the tide of suits in their polished shoes, made me think he is probably going sailing on the harbour while the suits are off to a day of hard slog at the office, haha. Thanks.
Thanks, Monica 🙂 I took many photos (and then culled) and this revealed how many wear black in winter here – but then every now and then someone stands out in a bright coat (red predominant, with yellow second), or a funky or impossibly vertiginous pair of shoes 😀
haha – thanks, Nancy 🙂

these are great, really interesting subject and so well done, all those moving feet, marvellous colours, patterns and textures!
Thanks, Christine – all feet from the morning rush hour in North Sydney yesterday 🙂

I like these. Were you surreptitious or blatant? I just wonder how people feel about having pictures taken of their feet.
Surreptitious, as I’m sure most would be suspicious (see reply to Gabe’s comment)
Nicely done 🙂
Love this, particularly those shoes against the mottled tiles. So energetic!
Thanks, Kate – it was AM rush hour at North Sydney train station, with everyone rushing to their destinations 🙂
Fabulous color – and my two favorite clothing items: shoes and coats!
Thanks, Monica 🙂 I took many photos (and then culled) and this revealed how many wear black in winter here – but then every now and then someone stands out in a bright coat (red predominant, with yellow second), or a funky or impossibly vertiginous pair of shoes 😀
Very cool shots!

Fabulous. I can just imagine the tap tap of the feet. It is like a dance!
Ha, yes, it has that kind of rhythm, Selma 🙂
Great job on the movement shot. 😉

Excellent MOVEMENT, BB. I feel like following them to see where they end up.
