Creative photo, full of colourful umbrellas
Thanks π
Welcome!
When a rainy day brings gloom, the umbrellas restore cheerfulness!
They do. π
Love the ideal of some color during the winter season…hope your travels are going well.
Thanks, Charles. Home for a stretch now, which is good. π
Wonderful shot, BB! Full of life & color!
Thanks, Nancy. If it were in Sydney, it wouldn’t be so colourful – the standard black umbrella dominates. π
I love this! Such beautiful colors on a rainy day π
Thanks, Dianne. It’s good to see a city population that celebrates colour in the gloom.
that is a fabulous shot – the colours against the white horizontal lines π
the rain smudges (if that is what they are) makes it look like a watercolour painting
I took it through the window of an office that I was working in, so they’re the raindrops on the window. π Thanks.
Thanks, Gabe. I loved all the different coloured rain-jackets worn by the bikers as well. π
Are you sure this isn’t a posed picture? I’ve always thought an umbrella should be a happy color….not like those scenes you see in old pix and movies where all the umbrellas are black…..
If I’d taken it in Sydney, it would, indeed, be all black, but the Shanghainese know how to brighten a gloomy day. π
a radiant garden of color – one glance tells you this is not a Western hemisphere scene
You’re so right there, Monica. Sydney is standard black in the rain. π
We all need color on rainy days.
Don’t we just, JB. π A colourful umbrella is a cheerful accessory in the gloom.
I love your vibrant photo choice!
Thanks, Dor. I was lucky to get such a vantage point from an office window.
Amazing to get so many different colored umbrellas in one shot!
I was fortunate to have a vantage point from which to capture a slice of Shanghainese cheer, Sue. Thanks. π
Just what I need! You can’t see the wood for the torrential rain-drenched trees out there today.
I like a torrential downpour, but not if it lasts for days creating endless grey.

Very nice, I love the POV and the happy colors on a dreary day.
Thanks, Dunelight. π
