Fantastic, BB: had this very strong image of shards of broken mirror, each with its individual reflection though it still makes a whole. We’re multi-faceted, different things to different men.
Thanks, Kate – you’re right – we are multi-faceted and also appear as a completely different whole to different people. I like your image of the shards of inividual reflections 🙂
haha – I’m starting to sound like my Mum – she was bemused by people who would talk about not finding themselves or ‘who am I’ – though your poem could be written by someone with Craft’s disease (craft ‘can’t remember a fkn thing’ – hahahaha) 😉
yes, Elizabeth Gilbert would not have been Mum’s cup of tea 😉 and Craft’s disease is only suffered by AUstralians I think – haha (I had it when I was younger)
Dear Bluebee, Now we know why the bee is your alter ego/gravatar — that head of thick honey-colored hair! You’re still not willing to show your face in virtual public, are you?
This problem with AVG seemed to occur in a small window – I thought it was WP, reported it and not long after, WP responded and the problem disappeared (AVG set to update automatically on my laptop).
Nicer post Bluebee he,he 🙂
haha – thanks, Jake 😉
Love it!
Thanks, Julie 🙂 What do we really know of ourselves?
Haha! 😉
😉 😀
Oh bluebee, this is just so spot on, fabulous way to meet the challenge. Cheers, girl!
Cheers, Cin 😀
Guess I should say what I really feel about this one…bravo!
*bowing* – thanks, Charles 🙂
love the photo
Thanks, Nursemyra 🙂
very clever self portrait 😀
Thanks, Amira – I took it a few months ago – had a hard time getting a shot without the shadow of my hand 🙂

This is a great shot and poem!
Thanks, Lula 🙂
Really love the poem!
Thanks, Gilly – your entry for this week is a joy 🙂
Oh – what a chord you touch, BB!
Nice
John
I sometimes feel as if I’m a song of discordant chords, John, haha. Thanks 😀
Your poem is beautiful. We really are fragments of our life.
Thanks, Angelia 🙂
You and time should have been more careful with those pieces 😉 Interesting poem bluebee , esp. love
‘a prosaic mosaic,
fragments of a self’
haha, you’re right about that, Gabe 😉 Do I detect a professional note of concern there? 😀

Your Mum would have had the same reaction to Elizabeth Gilbert as I did, then… 😉
Craft, hmmm…now there’s a diagnosis that didn’t come up on the internet, haha 😀
yes, Elizabeth Gilbert would not have been Mum’s cup of tea 😉 and Craft’s disease is only suffered by AUstralians I think – haha (I had it when I was younger)
Wow, so well put together, all the little pieces of who we are!
Thanks, Patti – if only we could complete the jigsaw once in a while 🙂
So true… so much of our lives are spent trying to hang on to the pieces!
..and trying to keep them in their orginal shape 😀
Dear Bluebee, Now we know why the bee is your alter ego/gravatar — that head of thick honey-colored hair! You’re still not willing to show your face in virtual public, are you?
haha – yes, Monica – and “Blue” is one of the less disparaging nicknames for a redhead in Australia
I didn’t know that, Bluebee. And why should a redhead be disparaged? Love ’em!
It is a polarising hair colour, Monica – you won’t know the half of it (unless you’re a redhead :))
‘love you’ in this excerpt from Yeat’s poem: For Anne Gregory –
“Never shall a young man
thrown into despair…
..love you for yourself alone
and not your yellow hair”
could just as easily be substituted with ‘despise you’ 😉
thx
bb
xx
Oh yes. Time has definitely lost a few pieces. Very poignant, Bluebee.
Hopefully it fills in the gaps with something better, Selma 🙂
Hmnn I was a little bit curious of whats behind this golden hair of yours bluebee..I like the poetry it blends with what the photo wants to say..
And what it doesn’t want to haha – thanks, John 🙂
Wow, an interesting portrait indeed 🙂 Thank you for sharing your picture with us!
Greetings from Switzerland,
– Pierre
Thanks, Pierre – Switzerland? What a wonderful Christmassy place to be 🙂
Sometimes when I’m tired all I feel I have are bits and piece, fragments but on most days life is good. Nicely done!
Thanks, Renee. I agree – tired can do it 🙂
Creative and smart interpretation. Nice self-portrait capture.
Thanks – I enjoyed your “shadow” and Stig-like takes
I love your idea of your being a mosaic. That is just what we are; all our parts glued into one whole. Lovely, Bb!
Hope my computer isn’t affected, but it shouldn’t be ’cause I also use AVG, haha!
Thanks, Adee 😀
This problem with AVG seemed to occur in a small window – I thought it was WP, reported it and not long after, WP responded and the problem disappeared (AVG set to update automatically on my laptop).
Time, I believe, has lost a few of my pieces too! Or maybe I’ve lost them.
I prefer Time as the agent, don’t you? 😉 thx, Thomas
Love the hint… 🙂
hehe…
