Thanks, Nancy – some people call it ‘Madonna’s Bra’ because it has two identical A-shaped pylons drawn by the tension wires 🙂 It’s the ANZAC Bridge.
Thanks, Monica 🙂 No, they are not composites. The first is of the East pylon of the ANZAC Bridge and the old decomissioned swing bridge which sits underneath the pylon, and the second is taken from the opposite side of the bridge and is of the West pylon and the Sydney Harbour Bridge in the background.
Thanks, Tilly – the ANZAC Bridge passes over Sydney Harbour in the area near the Sydney Fish Market – the first photo is taken from the Johnstons Bay side of the bridge and the second, from the Rozelle Bay side
aloha bluebee – wow – that is a terrific structure – they both are. an amazing view to explore and then suddenly the wonderment of what the human mind can conceive and create. extraordinary. and way fun photo for the two subject challenge. cool. aloha.
Well, you know how much I love the Anzac Bridge. These shots are totally FAB. Wouldn’t it have been amazing if we were both in the park at the same time and didn’t know it? And if we were both photographing the bridge? It’s entirely possible we were 😀
Wow, those are amazing photos. Well done.
Thanks, Northern Narratives 🙂
Really like these photos.
Great – thanks, Charles, – there’s always good subjects to photograph on the harbour 🙂
These are wonderful BB! So dynamic!
Thanks, Graham – love the waterways of this country of ours 🙂
oh aren’t these just great !!
Thanks, Jo! 🙂
Fantastic idea!
Thanks, Julie 🙂
Very impressive photos bb – there is something very energetic about the lines on the modern bridge – tension of strings on a harp in the sky 🙂
“tension of strings on a harp in the sky” – love that! Should have asked you to write the poem for this one, Gabe – my muse went AWOL 🙂
Amazing shots, BB! That suspension bridge is massive.

Stunning photos, Bluebee – you have such an eye for the unique beauty of cities. I first wondered if these shots were composites, but no…

excellent bluebee, great composition, and such a rich nostalgic story for those of us who have known these bridges for a long time 🙂
Thanks, Christine – there’s something about bridges – even the plain old Gladesville Bridge has a nice curve to it 🙂
All of these are brilliant shots. 🙂
Thanks, Elizabeth 🙂
You did a wonderful job with that one. 😉
Taken from a boat in this case, not through a dirty car window 🙂 Thx, Elizabth xx
I just “pinned” these. Great photos (http://pinterest.com/pin/140878294563918711/)
Thanks, Mark 😀
Seriously col.
Thanks, The Retiring Sort, and for stopping by my blog 🙂
wow, love that second shot. The Anzac is my favourite bridge
Thanks, Nursemyra. It makes for a compelling photographic subject with its fabulous lines and angles
The lines in this are just amazing, BB! I love them!
Thanks, Kate – bridges are another endless source of photographic delight 🙂
I like particularly the top one with crossing lines on the two bridges.
Thanks Benedicte 🙂 The old bridge borders the entrance to the fishmarket, so it’s a favourite spot for the gulls
So often we find the old and new side by side.
Always an interesting juxtaposition, Renee – thanks 🙂
Fabulous! I LOVE these pictures. Where is it?
Thanks, Tilly – the ANZAC Bridge passes over Sydney Harbour in the area near the Sydney Fish Market – the first photo is taken from the Johnstons Bay side of the bridge and the second, from the Rozelle Bay side
Thanks for that. They are great pictures.
Thanks 😀

Aloha, Rick – wonderful to see you here :-). Glad you enjoyed and thanks for the comment

I think it may well happen one day, Selma (although I took these from a boat) – we’ll have to keep a lookout for each other 😉
BB, any engineer would enthuse about this, whether he was mechanical or electrical
Fabulous photos
John
Bridges are an engineering marvel, aren’t they?
Thanks, John
That first one is just so striking! Nice job!
Thanks, Anne 🙂
