The lorikeets do love the camellias. They often sit in mine. Such a jolly, joyful sight. I often think they must be creatures from the land of fairy, they give me so much happiness. Wonderful photos!
so delicate, it looks almost like a fine embroidery, colourful silken threads hand stitched in a classical form …. brilliant 🙂
Thanks, Christine 🙂 I had to apply an effect to try an cut out some of the glare and it’s given it a bit of an unreal quality
I agree with Christine and can remember my grandmother having a cushion cover embroidered with a design like this!
That’s remarkable, Gilly 🙂 Thanks
Perfection!
They have a wonderful time feasting in those bushes, Julie – and their hopping around creates a carpet of pink on the grass

Thanks, Gabe – I love their cheeky animated chattiness 🙂
Why don’t I live some place that has birds like that outside the window?
Because you’re too busy swanning around the globe living the dream 😉
Gorgeous photos… Love the colors of the birds and the flowers. 😉
It’s amazing how well camouflaged they can be in shrubs, with all their bright colours. Thanks
These lorikeets in camellias have to be two of the impossible possibilities… a heaven on earth moment
They are such beautiful birds, Monica – very common here. Thanks 🙂
