Never trust a woman who wears mauve, whatever her age may be, or a woman over thirty-five who is fond of pink ribbons. It always means they have a history.
Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray, 1891

Apt!
😀
Nice quote, BB. Always rely on OW for witty conversation.
He is the man whose last words were “either this wallpaper goes, or I do”
John
And the wallpaper’s still getting the last word 🙂 thanks, John
nice quote, I liked the part about pink ribbon and women over thirty five 🙂
Thanks, Amira 🙂
Got a chuckle out of the Oscar Wilde quote.
He was a sharp one, Charles 🙂
Good quote, but I must be thoroughly untrustworthy !
Me too, Gilly, hehe
The first photo has a great combination of colour and texture. I love mauve or plum type colours 😉
Thanks, Gabe – me too – but the other half’s not too keen on purple (not sure why – perhaps, like Oscar, he thinks ‘harlot’, haha) When I was younger I had a funky purple suit (pants and jacket) with black polka dots (well, it wasn’t long out of the 80s!) which he hated. We had a burglary and they stole all his clothes, but none of mine except the suit – mmmm…suspect, wouldn’t you say 😉
very suspect – hahahaha (and what were you thinking – black polka dots ;))
actually now I come to think of it, your suit would have matched my clown pants (white with black vertical stripes, and a bit puffy at the top – haha)
They were clown pants, too, haha – pleated, very baggy and high-waisted with a big black cummerband
The height of fashion in the eighties – haha 🙂
Well, I did buy it in the 80s 😉

Still smiling over that quote. love it. 😉
Perhaps he was just jealous 🙂
Ay! Oscar was always the jealous type. 😆
Great quote for the theme, BB.
Thanks, Nancy – OW’s always good for a laugh.
Trust aside … that purple looks terrific alongside the blonde hair.
Thanks, Geoff 🙂
Great quote to go with the photos. A little goes a long way when it’s perfect…
Thanks, Sued51 🙂
I love all shades of purple, wear them a lot and am completely trustworthy. Hahaha. Whoever the purple-wearing-lady is in the photo, she has the most gorgeous hair. HOT!!!!
Selma, are you the original Purple People-Eater?! Does Max know? 😀
Thanks for the compliment 😉
Well, Oscar would know.
Yes, he would, Kate. haha
I really like the colour in that first one.
He also said, ‘Never trust a woman who tells you her age – she will tell you anything.’
Velvet lends itself to purple, doesn’t it? Something a little decadent about both…
I think Oscar was the canonical bitch 😆
😀
Great post for the theme my friend 🙂
Thanks, Jake 🙂
And here’s to having a history!
Oscar certainly had one! 🙂
Thank you for visiting my blog. Love your purple entry.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
An you for popping in and commenting over here, Francine – thanks 🙂
