It’s hard to comprehend, I have family who live on the water’s edge at Chesapeake Bay and the photos they sent through during the storm were bad enough and they came out unscathed. NJ has been decimated – so sad 😢
The devastation is horrific and as we find out more each day, it gets worse – 80 dead and counting – flooding, wrecked houses, fire, rat plagues, – doesn’t get much worse than that! So glad I am moving away from being so close to the ocean (about 100 metres) – we live in a really low lying area that would easily be submerged by a storm surge (it’s happened before many years ago, apparently). That timelapse is amazing.
The hardest hit areas in NJ are my old stomping grounds . . . Point Pleasant, Manasquan, Seaside Heights, etc.
It’s hard watching the devastation and know that our family and friends are without power and heat. What a mess.

It sure is, Nancy.

Did you see the temp in Victoria today, Gabe? 45.8 degs!!
You feel whipped by the wind as it comes at you in this video. Stunning. Love the light that doesn’t go out on the World Trade Center.
I hadn’t noticed the light on the WTC – thanks, Monica.
Sadly, the recovery will take a long time… My heart goes out to all who were affected by this tragedy. 😦
NYC has been through such a lot, Elizabeth 😦
