Don Ritchie, The Angel of The Gap, has passed away

Angel of The Gap

He looks out at the sparkling sea

and drinks his morning cup of tea

But there’s a shadow to his left,

the darkness of a soul distressed

He knows now he must move with haste

to stop a life from going to waste

“This time, this one, perhaps,” he thinks,

“maybe, I ‘ll pull back from the brink”

The Angel of  The Gap, at dawn,

heads out once more across his lawn

to offer balm, a light to see

a way out from their misery,

to coax them not to end it all

and save them from that fatal fall

This is related to a recent post by Frizztext.

Frizztext, this is actually not a common mode of transport in Sydney but a tourist attraction – it’s an amphibious craft that would cost far too much to run as a regular transport option, but if they could make smaller personal craft like these, it would be a fantastic option in this city because of the size and reach of our magnificent harbour.

Act of God

not so children as they flee –

Taking a Break

I am taking a break from blogging, studies etc to attend to a health issue, so won’t be posting here for a while.

cold-hearted weather,
garbage-can dining,
piss-soaked shelter,
one-eyed sleep in the underpass,
the ubiquitous predator

The bird
doesn’t mind
existence
on the streets

My virus checker has detected a virus in a number of comments posted in the last few days including those from Bloggers that have been visiting this site for a long time. Not sure how the virus has made it through WordPress.  Anyhow, if you don’t find your comment here, it’s because your comment links are infected with a virus and, thus, I have been forced to delete your comment. I have reported the issue to WordPress.

WordPress have contacted me  with the following response:

“We have contacted AVG about this and it was definitely a false-positive on their end.

So, it seems, it’s a case of an over-zealous virus-checker 😦
